Trevor Horn chose the name as a demonstration that it didn't matter what outlandish or strange-sounding name you chose, people would listen - although I think it's more likely because the sound and production is picture-perfect. It's almost as if this was the incidental and theme music from a a Japanese anime series. Ten tracks tightly woven around the theme of living with technology, with all its trials and tribulations. Some might complain of slight overuse of the AM-radio-filter on the voice, but it can be forgiven (and is usually relevant in context!).
